Minutes of Annual General Meetings

Report and Minutes of the Annual General Body Meeting of Society for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, India , (STERMI) held at SCMS, Kochi on February 28, 2010 in connection with the International Conference on Biomaterials, Artificial Organs and Tissue Engineering (ICBAT) during February 28-March 1, 2010.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Chandra P. Sharma, President of STERMI. Dr.H.K.Varma, Secretary, SBAOI presented the current status of the Accounts and Membership details of the society.

As of 28 February 2010 the total assets of the Society is Rs. 1,32,400/-. Society have 37 founder life members (36 Indian + 1 foreign), 65 life members (63 Indian + 2 foreign) and 3 organizational members totaling to 105 members.

The following decisions were approved by the General Body meeting of STERMI

  1. The present status of the Society was appreciated by the General Body.

  2. The next National Conference of the Society will be held at B.V.Patel Pharmaceutical Education and Research Development (PERD) Centre at Ahemedabad, Gujarat. Tentative dates will be 23rd to 25th January 2011

Minutes of the Annual General Body Meeting of the Society for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (STERMI) held at Kathmandu, Nepal on 24th November 2008 in connection with the International Conference on Medical Materials, Devices and Regenerative Medicine (MMDRM 2008) and workshop, during 23rd to 25th November 2008.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. C.P. Sharma, President of STERMI. Dr.H.K.Varma, Secretary, STERMI presented the current status of the Accounts and Membership details of the Society.

The following decisions were taken in the General Body meeting of STERMI.

  1. Prof.Vishwa P. Shrivastava, Principal of the College of Biomedical Engineering and Applied Sciences, Kathmandu and the Convener of MMDRM 2008, will be included as an additional member of executive committee of STERMI.
  2. A Nepal chapter of STERMI will be started. Prof.Vishwa P. Shrivastava will coordinate the activity.
  3. The current financial status of the society needs improvement. Hence the members are encouraged to get additional funds through advertisements and other promotional means.
  4. Next annual meeting will be held at Bombay and Dr.K.G.Rajendran of USV Ltd., will be the convener of the conference. Date and venue will be informed shortly.
